Lent and Confession – the main topic of the meeting with the students of the higher professional institution of Hospitality and Tourism

   On Wednesday, March 2, in the conference hall of the higher professional institution of Hospitality and Tourism (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. Sorokhteya, 43), there was hold a regular meeting with students of this institution. Such meetings take place every first Wednesday of the month.
    The theme of the meeting was dedicated to the preparation to Lent and to the importance and necessity of Confession as a means of refining our souls. The member of the Youth Commission of Ivano-Frankivsk diocese of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church deacon Mykhailo Vikhot who headed that meeting emphasized that Lent deals not only with the limitation of the consumption of certain food, but it is also the special time of reflections on one’s life. Lent is also defined as time of spiritual struggle with the passions, evil deeds. During Lent we have a special and wonderful opportunity to think about the sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ who gave His life for all of us.
